Psychoeducation
I believe that healing happens when you understand why your brain and body respond the way they do. Through psychoeducation, I help you learn how trauma affects the nervous system, emotions, and physical health. When you can name what’s happening, you can begin to take back control, release shame, and move toward change.

the concept
In order to obtain sustainable wellness, it's important we understand the relationship of all three
components as they relate to brain health: counseling, nutrition, and exercise. Working on each of these components together will drastically improve your brain health so you can be the best version of yourself.
I emphasize holistic practices and incorporate information and goals related to nutrition and exercise as a form of coping and healing from trauma. Trauma is just as much emotional as it is physical. Nutrition and exercise not only help reduce trauma symptoms in the short term, but they have the power to help re-wire the brain in establishing healing and longevity. I believe in you, and I know we all have the power to change our path to one that is more fulfilling, healthy, wholesome, and sustainable.
counseling
Just as you would go to a doctor for a physical, going to a brain health provider is also beneficial for everyone. Meeting with a licensed practitioner allows for a deep dive into who you are.
nutrition
Your brain is working 24/7. It never gets a break and in order to run efficiently, it needs the proper fuel.
exercise
Exercise helps release the 'feel good' chemicals in your brain such as dopamine and serotonin which in turn affects your mood.
about
I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and I believe true healing means caring for the whole self—mind, body, and spirit. Trauma doesn’t just live in the mind; it reshapes the brain and body. That’s why my approach integrates counseling, nutrition, and movement, so you can reconnect with your essential self—the part of you that is free from trauma and ready to thrive.
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with children, families, and young adults—witnessing firsthand how trauma shows up across every stage of life.
-
At a brain health center, I helped children with developmental diagnoses enhance their ability to function without medication.
-
In child protection agencies, I provided therapy for children who endured extensive trauma, supporting their emotional healing and safety.
-
As a parenting educator, I equipped parents with tools to make healthier choices for themselves and their children, while addressing generational trauma that kept many of them stuck in cycles of unhealthy parenting.
-
With college students, I saw how unresolved childhood experiences often led to anxiety, depression, and functional challenges later in life.
These experiences gave me a deep understanding of how trauma manifests—and how healing requires compassion, tools, and a holistic approach.
Today, I bring together my professional expertise, research, and personal passion for wellness to help clients move beyond survival and into lasting healing. My work is not just about managing symptoms, but about restoring balance, building resilience, and creating a life that feels fulfilling and free.
Outside of my counseling practice, you’ll find me diving into research on brain health, exploring new ways the body and mind communicate, and living out what I teach—striving for nourishment, movement, and balance in daily life.
Healing is possible. And you don’t have to do it alone.
